Dear Perspective Cat Owners

I was a 'cat hater' for the first 45 years of my life! Don't get me wrong. Cats loved me but I hated them. I saw no point in having a cat as a pet. They wrecked the furniture, made a mess in the litter box or brought mice into the house from outside. They were aloof and selfish and had a different biological clock than I did so we just didn't mix. My wife, on the other hand, was a cat lover. She had always wanted a cat but I had never given in to her wishes. Her 40th birthday came up and I didn't know what to get her so in a moment of weakness, I decided to surprise her with a kitten. Being a millennium kind of guy, I decided to search the web to see what might be available. That's when I happened upon Shaded Tails Cattery. Their website was very impressive - full of facts, information, pictures, pedigree charts and related information. But, even more important, the website demonstrated a truly caring attitude toward the kittens and the cats in the cattery.

I decided to give my wife a Himalayan kitten for her birthday so I contacted Bonnie to chat about her cattery.
