Hi, this is a letter of reference for Shaded Tails and Bonnie McNamara. To all who are looking to purchase a Himalayan kitten look no further. Thank god for the internet, if not for it, my wife and I would never have met Bonnie.
From day 1 we were impressed. We sent an email to Bonnie hoping to hear back within a few days, it was more like a few hours, thankfully, because we were so excited about the kittens we had seen on her web page. Later that evening we talked on the phone for awhile to get to know one another. It was nice to see she was as interested in our history as pet owners as we were about hers as a breeder.
It took us a few days to decide on a kitten, or should I say 3 kittens. We had many phone conversations with Bonnie about our decisions, she was very informative and pleasant at all times. I’m surprised she didn’t get sick of all our calls, we were just nervous making sure it was the right decision, cats are for life. Our first cat (Persian) lived for 17 years and was just like a child to us, we thought we would never have a cat so loving.
Then came the trip to Ottawa to pick up the kittens. I was so lost, never had seen Quebec before, hehe. Bonnie guided me to her house on my cell phone, step by step when I phoned and told her how lost I was. It was nice to see where the kittens were born and raised. It is very clean and homey. I hope that’s a word, just I had expected the cattery to look like a vets office or something, it was a very comfortable and playful palace for the cats and kittens. After showing me around I was introduced to our new babies and got to see their parents. All cats were bathed and brushed, they were all so beautiful I wanted to take them all home.
After the trip back to London, which went well thanks to Bonnie’s directions, we paid a visit to our vet. He too fell in love with these charming animals. All 3 were in perfect health thanks to Bonnie’s mothering and loving. As I mentioned before, we never expected to have a cat more loving than the Persain we had previously owned for 17 years, let alone 3.These cats are so lovable, they love to be brushed, combed, and touched anywhere, it’s obvious to us the love they received from day 1.We also have a 12 year old Himalayan, which the kittens get along with fine.
Well, I may as well tell you now, we loved these 3 kittens so much because of their personality and temperament, we had to have more. Once again we had many phone conversations with Bonnie about owning a couple more kittens, whether the males would get along with a female addition etc...We now have 5 kittens from Bonnie, all of which are the most loving animals on this earth. They have added so much love and happiness to our family words can’t explain.
