Although we are not 100% complete, we thought we would give you a peek at our newly remodeled kitten nursery. Click on the thumbnails below to see the larger photos.

Once our kittens are fully litter trained, they all grow up in this nursery where they are safe and secure. They learn to socialize with kittens from other litters as well in here. We chose the Cinderella theme for this room after purchasing one single child's sofa for taking photos of the kittens but it rapidly grew into my obsession with Ebay shopping :))  I have so many terrific people to thank for their contributions to this room, I will be adding their names as this page nears completion. The fur children are extremely content and comfortable with all the kitten sized pieces we have added, from the step stool and toy box to the sofa, table and chairs. Everything we chose has a purpose. The babies have music from the Cinderella radio so they are not in complete silence all day and night. The Ardleigh Elliot pieces are all music boxes. The Princess Castles and Cottages all light up at the touch of a switch. The corner lamps also play music and the Princesses are animated which the kittens love to watch. We have a wide selection of snow globes to show you as we find the perfect cabinets for them so they are secure in this room. I hope you enjoy the visit and will come back again soon.

As you enter the nursery we have our Ardleigh Elliott collection of musical pieces which are absolutely beautiful. This is the left photo above. On the opposite wall are all the Princess castles and cottages that light up, photo on right We made sure we put rails on all the shelves so nothing could fall and injure any of the moms or babies. This room is SO pretty at night when you turn on the lights, I could sit in there for hours.

On the left are some of our other Cinderella collectibles including the pop up radio, clock, light up Christmas tree. This is our corner where our paper towels, cleaner and litter scoop are, far away from the kitten's reach. On the right is one of the musical lamps which is also a night light.

On the left is the sofa that started it all :) It is just the right size for the babies to climb and play on. We did buy a second one the same for photo taking in case this one got stained. The sofa has a drawer on the bottom for storing photo supplies. You can also see the step stool, again, baby sized. In the middle photo is the dresser drawer, complete with Cinderella knobs, another touch night light and the Cinderella pumpkin cookie jar which is used to hold our cotton balls and q-tips for face and ear cleaning. The desk, stool and toy box all have storage so things are kept very tidy in this room. On the right is the toy box which holds any extras, blankets, Cinderella receiving blankets etc...

On the left is a chair which I could not resist, it is SO cute and kittens can sleep in it or practice their climbing/jumping skills :) The waste can came all the way from the UK. In the middle photo is the other musical lamp and clock. This room has music from the Cinderella movie to lull the babies to sleep. Although we really did not need the table and chair set, it does serve it's purpose. It has a small storage compartment in the middle so when my vet comes to do shots, the syringes are held in it so the kittens do not get their tiny feet and mouths on them :)

On the left is our Cinderella phone which lights up when it rings and also plays the song Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo :) We also have our medical slate so the vet knows what kittens get what shots, a very handy item. In the centre is the light switch cover that also matches the plug in covers. On the right is an adorable Princess night light. We have tried to think of everything for this special room and we have had so many fabulous compliments on it already. Be sure to check back to see the finished flooring and snow globes later this spring. Now you know where your little one is raised before coming to your home. I enjoy this room so much that I do tend to spend more time in here than anywhere else in the house but it is so much fun to watch the kittens romping and having fun, it is worth every minute, even if the house work sometimes gets put off until later :)
